Henry Dyer, a graduate of Anderson`s University (now the University of Strathclyde), was the founding father of modern engineering education in Japan. Twin busts were commissioned by the Science & Technology section of the British Embassy, supported by ICL and presented to the two universities as part of Festival UK98 to celebrate their long standing relationship .
